Lottery Open for Cape Epic 2007

The Absa Cape Epic presented by adidas will take place one month earlier next year from 24 – 31 March 2007. The earlier date means that the course will be drier and faster and the days longer and warmer. The new route for next year will take riders further inland through the Little Karoo semi desert area with some very exciting technical sections closer to Cape Town. The new towns will be announced in October after the Cape Epic organisers have ridden the 2007 route later this year.

Due to the massive demand for entries into the Cape Epic, international and local entries are managed via a public lottery system and all interested riders must enter the public lottery in order to secure a spot for 2007. Please visit www.cape-epic.com and purchase a lottery ticket before 30 June 2006. All proceeds from our public lottery are donated to the Bicycling Empowerment Network which aims to alleviate poverty in Africa by promoting cycling as a means of transport. Successful applicants will be invited to register for the Cape Epic 2007 after 30 June 2006.
